The current owner signs in to the International Pet Registry account that holds the pet.

On the pet owner card, transfer of microchip ownership is in the free tier, next to the free account, lost and found reporting, and microchip lookup. The one-time registration fee is separate: $25 USD per pet (CA$34 or £19), with no annual renewal.
